Description:
The Atlas 229 wheel clamp tire changer is the perfect tire changer for the small automotive garage or ATV/MC dealer. The Atlas 229 has the same clamping and tire changing capabilities as the Atlas TC 221 wheel clamp tire changer, but has the added bead blaster system to help inflate stiff sidewall tires or other "hard to inflate" tires. If you are going to be changing larger pickup truck (1 ton), large SUV wheels, or agricultural tires (either now or in the future), you may want to consider the Atlas Atlas 289 wheel clamp tire changer. Description:
The Atlas TC 221 wheel clamp tire changer is the perfect changer for a small commercial garage or an ATV/motorcycle dealer.
The Atlas wheel clamp tire changers are designed to change the tires on both high priced alloy wheels and steel wheels without damaging the rim or the tire. The powerful bead breaker located on the side of the tire changer is designed to break even the most stubborn and rusted beads without damage to the rim. The turntable jaws (which can be covered with the standard protective plastic inserts) hold the rim securely without damaging the surface of the rim. These jaws can be moved to three different positions along the slides of the turntable to either increase or decrease the clamping range of the Atlas 221.
The Atlas TC 221 comes standard with an inflator hose and gauge.

- Heavy, thick ductile iron casting provides a rugged, reliable base for the 1115HD TrueCut.
- The 1115HD provides a "One Cut" finish. If specifications or operators prefer a rough cut before finishing, it is available simply by rotating a dial.
- Quick changeover from disc to drum tools in only seconds.
- The innovative design and tooling allows the 1115HD to be adapted easily to all existing and future machining applications.
- Drive shaft and arbor are supported by extra large tapered roller bearings. Bearings and complete drive train operate in an oil bath - no bushings or old fashioned sleeves to wear out.
- Simple arbor drive - only two gears.
- Individual high torque gear motors used for driving drum and rotor tool carriages. An electronic module measures and controls the carriage feed speed. By varying the torque to the feed motor a constant feed speed is held. This provides an even finish even through hard spots and large variations in the surface.
- Automatic shutoff of the tool carriages.
- Adjustable work light and top storage space for tools.
- The 1115HD has a complement of brake lathe tooling and accessories available for many special applications.
